ALVERN is a deeply tactile study of aged surfaces, layered texture, and quiet tonal variation. Its warm ivory foundation is enriched with soft beige, oatmeal, taupe, and faint earthy undertones, creating the appearance of a naturally weathered surface shaped gradually over time.

Irregular raised forms move across the composition in fragmented horizontal and vertical passages, creating subtle architectural blocks, softened edges, and organic interruptions. Some areas remain delicately recessed and tonal, while others rise into pronounced textural relief, giving the rug an expressive surface that changes gently with light and perspective.

The intentionally imperfect pattern evokes weathered stone, aged plaster, worn architectural walls, and naturally eroded materials. Its low-contrast palette keeps the overall expression serene and sophisticated, while the layered pile provides depth and a distinctly handcrafted character.
