Fading Resonance
Description
ECHO takes its structure from the moment a single drop disturbs still water or the way a fingerprint's ridges tighten toward one point of contact. Rather than centering the motif the way convention would suggest, the ripple sits off to one side of the field — the mark of something that happened, not something staged for symmetry.
Hand-tufted entirely in one warm ivory tone, the pattern is carried by carved pile alone: dense, ridged rings at the center loosen as they move outward, eventually breaking apart into scattered, isolated tufts that fade back into the plain field, the way a sound loses energy the further it travels from its source.
Because the motif is asymmetric by design, ECHO reads differently depending on where furniture lands on it — a low table or sculptural leg placed off-center completes the composition rather than interrupting it, on the understanding that a room's real center rarely lines up with its geometric one.
ECHO — a single moment, still radiating.
